Kenneth Nkusi

Visual Artist
Kenneth is a Rwandan painter whose work explores texture and the act of translating thought onto canvas. His signature technique, a mixture of coffee grounds and acrylic paint, builds a depth that pushes past the two dimensions of the canvas.

His paintings are on permanent display at MADS Gallery in Kigali, where he also mentors the next generation of Rwandan artists. His work has been exhibited in Brussels, Monaco, Barcelona, and Luxembourg, and others.

Kenneth is a fellow of the Mandela Washington Fellowship, the U.S. government’s flagship program for young African leaders.
